About Crolyn

Crolyn is a jewellery studio rooted in instinct, material, and quiet symbolism created by Irish designer Lyndsey Crowley.

I was born in Waterford, Ireland, surrounded by coastline, shifting skies, and a landscape that always felt slightly wild and alive. That early connection to nature the sea, the moonlight, the feeling of collecting small objects that felt meaningful has stayed with me long before Crolyn ever existed.

Before jewellery became my focus, I studied fashion design, working across garments, textiles, felt, ceramics, and glass. I’ve always been drawn to how materials carry emotion how something can feel powerful before it’s ever explained. Jewellery became a natural continuation of that language: smaller, more intimate forms that still hold presence.

My creative path has never been linear. I spent time living and working in South Korea, travelling, absorbing new perspectives, and learning how different cultures approach ritual, design, and everyday beauty. That period shaped how I see objects not just as decoration, but as something that can quietly anchor a moment or memory.

Over time, I continued studying jewellery in both London and Dublin, refining traditional techniques while developing my own approach to form and symbolism. Today, I live and work in the countryside outside Cork, where Crolyn is designed and created. The slower pace of rural life the changing light, the sea air, the constant movement of nature deeply informs the rhythm of the studio.

Crolyn grows from a lifelong pull toward earth, sea, and sky.

Raw gemstones chosen for their presence.
Sea glass shaped by tide and time.
Celestial forms inspired by moonlight, stars, and shifting horizons.
Metal shaped into lines that feel lived-in rather than perfect.

Each piece begins with material and instinct. Symbols appear not to explain meaning, but because they have always existed in my world echoes of something ancient yet personal. Some designs reference the cosmos, others explore balance, movement, or quiet transformation, but all begin from the same place: recognition rather than instruction.

Alongside jewellery, the studio also explores scent and atmosphere through small ritual objects candles and pieces designed to shape a space extending the same belief that objects can hold presence without needing to speak loudly.

Crolyn isn’t about telling someone what a piece should mean.
It’s about creating forms that feel familiar, grounding, and quietly powerful like the stones we once carried in our pockets as children simply because they felt right.

Some pieces are chosen logically.
Others are recognised instantly.

And that moment of recognition is where Crolyn begins.
